Silk Identify

People generally identify the authenticity of silk mainly through touch. Silk and rayon do have lots of different places.

1, Silk feels soft and elastic, scroops when gently rub and has a sense of cool, but artificial silk feels stiffer, and has no feeling of clammy.

2, The sheen of silk is softer, bright but not dazzling, yet the sheen of rayon is similar to the metal.

3, Rub silk and then release it, silk has less wrinkle than rayon.

4, Drip water on the fabric, rub by hand, and rayon is easier to break, while silk is relatively strong.

5, Burn silk you will see no flame, and smell like burning hair. The ash is black particulate, which can be crumbled by hand.

However, you will see flame when burn rayon and smell like plastic, leaving the hard plastic block on the edge of the extinguished fire.
